Love Hurts

Love is hard, love is difficult, pain in the ass, call it whatever but still, we fall in love.  We know that there's always risks, but we do it anyway.  And when it hurts so much we ask ourself why?  Why did we still want to pursue love when there's a thousand chance that it can hurt us badly.  Why bother?

All of us is a love junkie.  We want to love and be love in return.  It's a wonderful magical feeling when you are high in love.  It brings you a sense of hope, happiness, fulfillment and more.  When love is gone you feel empty and you feel nothing is worth that pain.  But then again, why not be happy that you've loved?  That you've felt the strongest emotion possible known to man/woman instead of nothing at all.

Falling in love is easy.  It's a passive and very spontaneous experience.  The hard part is staying in love.  After few weeks/months/years the euphoria of love fades.  It's a natural cycle of every relationship.  Phone calls become a burden, sex is not always welcome and things you call cute before will drive you nuts.

I'm not a love expert.  I'm not qualified to give you advice on love.  I'm struggling myself.  But what I do know, love demands more than romance.  It takes time, effort, energy and most importantly it takes wisdom to sustain love.
